The 2019 single estate Bacchus has had plenty of time on its lees to give it the full fresh aromas and punchy green fruit, hedgerow and elderflower flavours of the best Bacchus wines, with a hint of lychee. This full, fruity wine is, surprisingly, technically very dry. Great paired with fish, cheese and mildly spicy dishes
Giffords Hall is a family owned vineyard planted on the site of an ancient glacial riverbed near Long Melford in Suffolk. Our sandy/clay soil produces quality grapes, high in natural sugars and acids, that lend themselves particularly well to both sparkling and dry, aromatic still wines.
Our wines have a delicate floral character very typical of the region. Each Vintage is carefully produced in small batch tanks and barrels only, with particular attention to the individual areas on our terroir. Our winemaker uses the best batches to individually craft our different wines, and we have achieved many awards over the years.
